Student Voice

Students from both Key Stage 4 and 5 form the body of the Student Voice.

A member of staff works with the students to listen to their views on all aspects of College life. It is a great opportunity for students to express their opinions and suggestions and to allow their voice be heard.

Aims of the Student Voice:

  • To listen
  • To talk
  • To highlight concerns
  • To make suggestions
  • To help implement change

Responsibilities of the Student Voice:

  • Feedback concerns/ideas back to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Plan and organise fundraising events for a variety of charities
  • Support activities to raise awareness for National Awareness Days
  • Perform room surveys to ensure there is adequate equipment readily available

Examples of changes made by the Student Voice:

  • Resurfacing, new surrounding netting and goals for the Astroturf area
  • Redesign of the Key Stage 5 Common Room
  • Additional leisure equipment sourced for the outdoor areas, for use at break and lunch times 
  • New signage around the College building
  • Outdoor Gym Equipment
  • Additional outdoor bins purchased
